Bread Pud

Bet you wish this was smelly vision.  Just out of the oven a nice bread pud.

To make:  take one loaf of bread white or brown, 8 oz sugar, 1 lb fruit can be mixed or just sultanas and a pot of mixed spice.  Soak the bread for at least 10mins in water, squeeze out as much water as you can and put into a dry bowl.  Add the remaining bits and get stuck in, mix it with your hands, without peeling nail varnish is best and really mix it all up.  When you are happy with the mix put into a greased dish, put about 5 dabs of marg or butter on the top and put in the oven, gas 4 (177c)  for about 1 to 2 hours, depending on your oven. When the pud is cooked, bring it out of the oven and sprinke some sugar on the top.  Allow to cool, if you can and then dig in.  Enjoy..........................
